The international roaming traffic fee in more than 60 directions fell by more than 50%.
According to data released by China Unicom, in 2018, China Unicom completely abolished the national roaming charges for mobile Internet traffic at the same time as the network speed increased significantly. The average unit price of mobile traffic tariffs decreased by 57.4% compared with the end of 2017, and household broadband tariffs decreased by 41%. Internet private line tariffs fell by 10%, and international voice and data roaming charges fell by 44% and 75% respectively.
According to the "White Paper on China's Broadband Development (2018)" released by China Information and Communication Research Institute in September 2018, the implementation of the speed-up and fee-reduction policy has been reduced by more than 90% in China's mobile traffic and fixed broadband. It ranks first in the world, and the penetration rate of 4G users has entered the top five in the world. The download rates of fixed broadband and 4G networks in China are both over 20Mbps.
