OLP adopts 1:1 selective transmission and selective reception protection mode - working business signals are transmitted along working optical fibers, and non-working optical fibers can send secondary business signals. The OLP devices at both ends, according to the status of the active optical fiber and the standby optical fiber, synchronously choose to work on the active optical fiber or switch to the standby optical fiber. The spare fiber can transmit other services with lower priority, similar to MSP protection in traditional SDH networks.
