1. Introduction of 40G to 10G Active Optical Cable (AOC)


The QSFP-40GB-AOC-4SFP+ active optical cable is specially used for the interconnection of 40G QSFP ports to 10G SFP+ ports. One QSFP terminal and four SFP+ terminals are interconnected by a multi-core multi-mode optical cable, as shown in the figure below, inside the QSFP terminal The light engine is composed of VCSELs and PD arrays to transmit four pairs of light-emitting and receiving signals through multiple parallel optical fibers:





Four groups of transceiver optical signals are transmitted from the QSFP end to four independent SFP+ terminals through parallel optical fibers, so as to realize the full-duplex application of 40G to 4-channel 10G. The corresponding branch structure is as follows:

It is processed by COB process, and each group of internal signals is transmitted independently, so the channels can work independently without interfering with each other. Through the control of the internal register of the QSFP, you can specify whether the corresponding channel is turned on or off. .
