Do you know how to connect single fiber 4CH DWDM mux demux with transceiver and switch，topology diagrams as below picture shown ? Let me show you step by step.
Step 1：Prepare all materials
Before connect, use Absolute alcohol to clean the fiber optical patch cord.
Then use Fiber End-face Visual Inspector to check. Make sure it is clean before connecting.
Avoid making the MUX DEMUX and optical transceiver dirty. Prepare optical power meter to check if connect Well.
Prepare DWDM Transceivers
Prepare 4CH Mux Demux
Step2: Use patch cord to connect the MUX and optical transceiver (switch/equipment)
① At A site, Insert C21 SFP Into switch port, Use patch cord connect C21 SFP Tx port to MUX C21 port, C21 SFP Rx port to MUX C22 port
② You can use the power meter to test the COM Port, this can test transmit optical power. If COM can receive the light, show the MUX is ok, SFP transceiver is also ok, and your connection is OK.
③ At B site, Insert C22 SFP into to switch port, Use patch cord to connect C22 SFP Tx connect to DEMUX C22 port, C22 SFP Rx connect to DEMUX C21
④ You can use the power meter to test the DEMUX C21 port, this is the Rx optical power. Make sure the light is <-8~-22, This means C21 channel connection is ok. You use can same method to test C22, C23, C24 connection.
⑤ Insert C23 SFP into switch, Use patch cord to connect C23 SFP Tx port to MUX C23 port, C23 SFP Rx port connect to Mux C24 port.
Insert C24 SFP into switch, Use patch cord to connect C24 SFP Tx port to DEMUX C24 port, C24 SFP Rx port connect to DEMUX C23 port.
